New Delhi, 26 August 2015: With the 5th Sultan of Johor Cup all set to take place from 11th October to 18th October 2015 in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, the Indian Junior Men Hockey Team is undergoing rigorous training sessions at Shilaroo, Himachal Pradesh to continue its winning spell.

The 32-member squad is comprised of quality players in every department who are groomed by Coach Harendra Singh, whose efforts will ensure a full and strong team for the upcoming tournament.

Attempting to boost the team's potency, forward Armaan Qureshi is one face in the junior team who is capable of taking up the game a notch higher by displaying solid attacking skills and precise passing abilities.

Commenting on the sidelines of the training sessions, forward Armaan Qureshi said, “The training sessions have been very fruitful till now and we are getting positive results from our new game-plans and tactics. We are paying attention on quick attacks, receiving passes in detail and which will ensure that we implement them perfectly in the upcoming tournament. The last tournament showcased the intent with which the players played to win and I am certain that the team will carry on the same agility in the impending tournament.”

Speaking on playing against Pakistan “Our first game is against Pakistan and we are very excited to face them. Last year we beat them by a huge goal margin of 6-0 and we aim to attain a similar feat this time too. But we cannot take them lightly as they know our style of play and will surely come back with a strategy. But having said this we have our game plan ready and we will go out to implement and win the match”.

The India Junior Men Hockey Team will be playing their opening match of the tournament against Pakistan on 11th October 2015 at 16.05 IST.
