The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Republic of Canada on the eve of their National Day (July 01, 2015).
In his message to His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor-General of Canada, the President has said, “On the occasion of Canada's National Day, it is with pleasure that I convey warm greetings and felicitations on behalf of the Government and people of India.
India and Canada have a shared commitment to democracy, pluralism, tolerance and rule of law - which have been the bedrock of our multifaceted partnership.
The bonds of friendship between our two countries are supported and strengthened by the robust exchanges and collaborations between our peoples. It is a matter of satisfaction that we have elevated our relationship to a strategic partnership.
Please accept, Excellency, my best wishes for your good health and well being as also the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Canada.”
