New Delhi, 4th May: Under the Mahasampark Abhiyan of Bharatiya Janata Party, its Pradesh President Shri Satish Upadhyay started one day Gramin Pravas from Khera Kalan Village today in the morning. Starting from Khera Kalan Village Pradesh President Shri Satish Upadhyay addressed small and big corner meetings in village Bakhtawarpur, Palla, Hamidpur, Narela, Bankner, Ghogha, Dariyapur, Qutubgarh, Punjab Khor, Gram Mazra, Begampur etc. and took night stay in village Tiggipur.
Shri Satish Upadhyay addressed big meetings in village Khera Kalan, Narela, Ghogha and Begampur. At several places villagers welcomed Shri Upadhyay with beats of drums & trumpets. He was felicitated & welcomed with tying of traditional Turbans.
In this Gramin Pravas programme MP Shri Ramesh Bidhuri, National Secretary Sardar R.P. Singh, former MLA Shri Kulwant Rana, Shri Neeldaman Khatri, Shri Gugan Singh Ranga, Chairman of NDMC Standing Committee Shri Mohan Bhardwaj, Pradesh Office bearers Smt. Rekha Gupta, Shri Ashish Sood, Shri Jai Prakash, Shri Jaivir Rana, District President Shri Vinod Sehrawat, Shri Lochan Gupta, Shri Lokesh Gehlot, Master Jai Bhagwan Yadav, Councillors, District & Mandal office bearers accompanied Shri Upadhyay.
Shri Upadhyay talked to farmers in all the villages and took stock of the damages to their crops due to untimely rain and said that after talking to the real farmers now I am of the view that the farmers have suffered about 50 percent loss of their crops and it is very regrettable that the Delhi Government is only playing with the sentiments of the farmers in place of paying compensation. The Central Government has already extended the limit of compensation but the Delhi Government by announcing the slab system for compensation has played with the sentiments of the people. They have also delayed the survey for assessing the damages and caused unbearable harm pain to the farmers because due to the delay in survey the crops have further damaged.
During the various meetings the villagers complained about the Patwaris of Delhi Government demanding money for survey work. The villagers raised issues of unscheduled power cuts, the poor plight of Health Centres, shortage of buses, shortage of teachers in the schools and demanded opening colleges in the rural areas. Shri Upadhyay assured the villagers that the BJP will fight for the people of rural areas and we shall also speed up the development works in rural areas with the help of our MPs and Councillors.
Under the Mahasampark Abhiyan BJP Pradesh President Shri Satish Upadhyay addressed the workers of North West District in Begampur Village. He said that the workers who are taking part in the intensive Mahasampark Abhiyan should be ready to discuss about the achievements of Central Government and Land Acquisition Bill etc. The workers should also understand the expectations of the people from Central Government and Municipal Corporations because it will strengthen the party and the Government. In addition we will also have to discuss with the people about the U-Turn of Delhi Government and increasing disillusionment with it.
