New Delhi, 19th May. Delhi BJP today held its state executive committee meeting at NDMC Convention Center. Union Finance Minister Sh. Arun Jaitley inaugrated the executive meeting in the presence of Delhi BJP Incharge Sh. Prabhat Jha, Union Minister Dr. Harsvardhan, MPs Sh. Vijay Goel, Sh. Ramesh Bidhuri, Sh. Parvesh Verma, Dr. Udit Raj, Sh. Mahesh Giri, Leader of the Opposition in Delhi Sh. Vijendra Gupta & National Secretaries Sh. R.P. Singh & Dr. Anil Jain.

On the occassion Sh. Jaitley, Sh. Jha & Sh. Upadhyay felicitated senior party leaders Prof. V.K. Malhotra, Sh. Madan Lal Khurana, Sh. Charti Lal Goel, Smt. Indira Pasricha & Smt. Mohini Garg. MP Sh. Vijay Goel received honour on behalf of Sh. Charti Lal Goel while Mrs. Madan Lal Khurana & his son Sh. Vimal Khurana received honour on behalf of Sh. Madan Lal Khurana while other 3 seniors were present on the dais. Sh. Jaitley recalled his guidance & association of over 4 decades with these senior stalwarts who have inspired the workers from Jansangh era.

Thereafter formally giving his inaugural speech Sh. Arun Jaitley said that today when we are going in to celebrate the completion of the first year of the BJP Govt. under Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi it is important to note that the biggest achievement of our government is that now Corruption is No More A Part of Union Govt. Dictionary.

Educating the party executive members on achievements of Modi Govt. Sh. Jaitley cajoled that partymen should proudly go between people celebrate the victory and educate masses on achievements.

Sh. Jaitley said Jan Dhan Yojna, Beti Padhao Beti Bachao, Atal Pension Yojna, Insurance Policies for poor, Direct Subsidy in Bank, Uniform GST, Swachta Abhiyan are all succesful schemes benefiting the poor.

Land Acquisition Bill is originally a Congress Bill of 2013 but now for petty politics Congress is opposing it. Earlier Congress became synonymous with Corruption now it is proving to be Anti Development too. The union govt. is working hard and extended help to farmers affected by unseasonal rains.

Speaking on Delhi Sh. Jaitley said people of Delhi first gave us all 7 Lok Sabha seats but later in Vidhan Sabha elections they favoured a New Experiment and brought AAP Govt.

Unfortunately the govt. is disappointing the mandate. Delhi does not present any challenges for the Government. Primarily development works have to be expedited but the present Aam Aadmi Party govt. has instead chosen a path of confrontation. We appeal to Delhi government to work to give a good administration instead of creating a ruckus with political mal-intention to divert attention on failing promises.

BJP's National Organisational General Secretary Sh. Ramlal called upon party workers to celebrate 26 May as Jan Kalyan Parv (public welfare day). He said do not care for opponents you have a government of vision & achievements go between people with a high head. He called upon all 14 district units in Delhi to organise melas to take the message of achievements of Modi govt.

Delhi BJP Incharge Sh. Prabhat Jha said that I have worked with Delhi BJP for last one year and I feel Delhi BJP workers performance cannot be measured by a recent electoral set back as this loss happened as a new Party suceeded in misleading people of Delhi with dream promises. They are now running away from the false promises they made.

He called upon the party workers to work very hard on Mahasampark Abhiyan as this gives us an opportunity to regain our lost electoral ground and connect with supporters.

In his welcome speech Delhi BJP President Sh. Satish Upadhyay felicitated the delegates and congratulated the union government, Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi & National President Sh. Amit Shah due to whose honest hard work India's prestige hovers high world over, people are lauding in the country as a result of which BJP is now the biggest political party in the world with over 10.50 crores members.

In Delhi too we today have 40 lacs members and people of Delhi who had earlier voted for a new party Aam Aadmi Party are fast looking towards BJP for raising the grievances against a government running away from its electoral promises.

Sh. Upadhyay said it's a matter of concern that Delhi Chief Minister Sh. Arivind Kejriwal is fast repeating his record of anarchism as seen in January 2014. The way he is trying to create a constitutional crisis in Delhi with the Lt. Governor & officials speaks volumes on his nature as a anarchist.

The Mayors of all 3 Municipal Corporation's Sh. Subash Arya, Sh. Ravindra Gupta & Sh. Harsh Malhotra briefly put the facts on 3 Civic Bodies working and pledged to change the perception of the people towards the civic administration. Civic bodies will soon revive Swatch Bharat Abhiyan and work for good civic primary health centres.

Delhi BJP's Organising General Secretary Sh. Vijay Sharma presented the structure of participants of today's meeting district wise. He further gave a brief of party's organisational work on membership & ensuing Mahasampark Abhiyan.

Two political resolutions were presented before the executive committee. The first resolution presented by Sh. Ramesh Bidhuri felicitated the union government's achievements in detail while the second political resolution presented by Sh. Vijendra Gupta condemned the Delhi government for running away from its electoral promises and creating a political ruckus in Delhi to divert attention from the failures of Delhi government.

Presenting his resolution Sh. Vijendra Gupta said this is fast turning out to be a government of liars. They are creating controversies to create an alibi for their failures in fulfilling promises. Every day one or the other AAP leaders lie gets exposed and today reports tell even MLA Commando Surendra's educational degree is also fake.

The Executive Meeting of BJP Passed a Resolution condemning efforts of Delhi Government to throttle to the Voice of Media through a circular presented by Delhi BJP Media Cell.

Sh. Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma seconded the first political resolution with the executive meet assuring that workers will go all out to spread the message of Sh. Narendra Modi govt.'s achievements between masses.

Sh. Ashish Sood seconded the second resolution with the executive meeting assuring that we at BJP will play the role of a vibrant opposition and force the government to either fulfil its electoral promises or quit. The executive added the suggestion put forth by former MLA Shir Sahab Singh Chauhan, party leaders Shri Kuljeet Chahal, Smt. Shazia Ilmi and others.

A resolution condoling deaths of some senior party workers who have died during recent past including former MLA Sh. Sunil Vaid, Secretary Sh. Kishan Lal Dhilod, former Metropolitan Councillor Sh. Janardan Gupta, Sh. Vinod Saini etc. was passed and one minute silence was observed.
