New Delhi, 18th May, 2015: In a unique initiative taken by Indian Medical Assocition (IMA) in association with Heart Care Foundation of India (HCFI) and Udyog Development Foundation (UDF), medicines worth Rs.25 lacs were dispatched today to Nepal for use of Earthquake victims.
Addressing a Press Conference here, Padma Shri Awardee Prof. Dr. A. Marthanda Pillai, National President & Padma Shri Awardee Dr. K.K. Aggarwal, Hony. Secretary General, IMA said that a team of IMA and HCFI met and corresponded with Nepal Medical Association for providing medical relief in various areas of people affected by recent Earthquake in Nepal.
A team of IMA saw more than 1,000 patients compiled a list of medicines needed in Nepal.
Medicines over worth Rs.25 lacs collected from various resources are forwarded to Nepal for use by Nepal Medical Association.
Dr. Anjani Kumar Jha, President and Dr.Mukti Ram Shrestha, General Secretary, Nepal Medical Assocaition said that contribution made by IMA & HCFI would go a long way in building positive relationship between two Associations.
