New Delhi, 1st May: Delhi BJP workers led by state President Shri Satish Upadhyay today demonstrated near Police Headquarters, ITO and later submitted a memorandum to the Police Commissioner demanding suo moto police action against Delhi Minister Shri Jitender Singh Tomar who has been found possessing bogus educational degrees. They also demanded that strict legal action including arrest be initiated against AAP MLAs Shri Jarnail Singh, Shri Ritu Raj Govind, Shri Manoj Kumar, Shri Sanjeev Jha, Shri Akhilesh Tripathi and Ms. Rakhi Bidlan who have been involved in several cases of lawlessness and assault on public servants.
The demonstrators gathered at Shahidi Park and walked towards ITO intersection where they were arrested by the Police. The demonstrators were later released after being taken to the Police Headquarters. Later led by the Pradesh President Shri Satish Upadhyay senior party leaders including MP Shri Ramesh Bidhuri, Shri Ashish Sood, Shri Tilak Raj Kataria, Smt. Shikha Rai, Shri Jai Prakash, Shri Kuljeet Chahal, , Shri Jaiveer Rana, Shri Rajiv Babbar, Shri Abhay Verma, Shri Harish Khurana, Smt. Kiran Chaddha, Shri Raj Kumar Grover met the Police Commissioner and handed over a memorandum demanding police action in the matter of FIRs already registered during last two months against several AAP MLAs.
Addressing the demonstrators Shri Satish Upadhyay said that the BJP will not allow AAP Leaders to create any further anarchy in Delhi. People of Delhi reposed faith in AAP expecting a change in the Governance style that Delhi had witnessed during 15 years of Congress rule but during last two months Delhi has faced a regime of anarchies where MLAs have assaulted public servants just to create a aura of their importance.
Shri Upadhyay said that people of Delhi will no more tolerate this misrule and we in BJP will not allow this Government to spread any further anarchy.
MP Shri Ramesh Bidhuri, Shri Ashish Sood, Shri Tilak Raj Kataria, Shri Jai Prakash, Smt. Shikha Rai, Shri Rajiv Babar, District Presidents also addressed the gathered demonstrators.
