Xiaomi Mi 4 is the latest smart phone from Xiaomi Inc featuring 5 in (130 mm) diagonal display screen. The Xiamo Mi 4 is the next phone in the high-end smartphone line and is revamped version of its predecessor phoneXiaomi Mi3.
The Xiamo Mi 4 provides wide network compatibility and it can operate with the GSM, CDMA, 3G, EVDO, HSDPA, LTE networks.
During a media event held at the CNCC on July 22, 2014, Xiaomi announced the Xiaomi Mi4 and MiBand phones. After long delay the phones were available in the market in August 2014.
The smart phone Xiaomi Mi4 was released in China in August 2014 and after that company started expanding its availability in the other countries.
OS and the Software of Xiaomi Mi 4
The Xiaomi Mi4 is operating on the MIUI 5 operating system which is the updated version of the Android OS for the Xiaomi's phone series. The UI of the Xiaomi Mi4 is similar to the Apple's iOS and Samsung's TouchWiz. This phone is providing the support for the multi-touch gestures.
The Xiaomi Mi4 comes with the internal accelerometers which can be used be the applications to respond to the device movements, such rotating etc.
The Xiaomi Mi4 comes with the pre-installed back-up and sync applications, MiCloud, which is similar to the Apple's iCloud.
Design of Xiaomi Mi 4
This device is fitted with the 5 inch (12.7 cm) Sharp/JDI OGS fully laminated touch screen and resolution is also very high. Phone screen resolution is 1080x1920 at 441 ppi. The weight of the phone is 149 grams (5.26 oz) and it uses the aluminum composite frame to house the system.
This device is currently available in white and black colors. More colors are expected soon.
