The intensive and elaborate grooming routine that the contestants of Cine Stars Ki Khoj are currently going through is bound to leave them enriched as actors for life. After a string of experts like ace photographer Avinash Gowarikar, acting guru Kishore Namit Kapoor and Lalit Marathe, it was time for the guru of modern and contemporary dance Terrence Lewis, to teach them the finer nuances of performing in a musical.
The Saturday episode of the show will see the top 10 contestants being divided in two groups of five each to perform in a musical. The first act will see Oksana, Akshay, Saurabh, Bhawna and latest wild card entrant Snehal perform a 'Modern Ram leela'. While the other batch of contestants including Meenu, Syed and wild card entrants Shubhita Rana, Vikram Chatterjee and Shivank will perform the famous tale of 'fate of fruit'. Terrence ensured that he was present on all the days of the rehearsals teaching and highlighting the techniques of emoting while dancing, timing and even understanding music and beats. The contestants went through long hours of rigorous training and rehearsals to be in sync with music and co-ordinating their steps with their fellow contestants.
But what left everybody spellbound was when the master himself descended on stage. Terrence presented a ballet and contemporary duet with one of his students Anmol and his troupe. Dressed in all white, he danced like a dream to the song 'Suno Na Sange Marmar'. Gracefully expressing the song through flawless moves, the duo also performed complex lifts and jumps.
Terrence who has also judged Zee TV dance reality show DID in the past said, 'My association with the channel goes back to the time when I started judging the cult dance reality show Dance India Dance. Since then the channel has become family and it's always fun to work with Zee and I thoroughly enjoy the challenges of perfecting raw talent that they throw at me every time. The contestants have done a fabulous job and I am surprised how they picked up the technique in such a short span of time. Hope the audiences will enjoy the acts and shower the same love on the contestants as they have showered on me'.
