40 Indians kidnapped in Mosul in Iraq: Government

Amid the heavy uncertainty in the Iraq which has been witnessing very tough situation internally, there is bad news for India as forty Indian employees stranded in the violence-hit Iraq were still without any contact in the Mosul area.

According to sources, now government has confirmed that the 40 workers working on a site in the city has been abducted.

According to the external affairs ministry Syed Akbaruddin, “It is with deep, deep sadness we would like to inform you 40 workers of the Tariq Noor al-Huda construction company have been abducted.”

It has been said that the abducted people were largely from various parts of Indian including Punjab and other parts of the country.

Meanwhile it has been said that government is leaving no stone unturned in finding out the fate of its nationals in Iraq. It responded to this news by immediately contacting the authorities in Iraq.
