Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Goel and Senior BJP Leader Vijay Jolly today participated in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan organized in old Delhi area Chandni Chowk today.
Both BJP Senior leaders Mr. Goel & Mr. Jolly swept Chandni Chowk streets with brooms. Marching & sweeping streets in Old Delhi started from Fatehpuri & culminated at Town Hall.
Hundreds of local citizens participated. MCD Councilor Smt. Shobha Vijendra Gupta and BJP Chandni Chowk District President Suman Gupta were specially present on the occasion.
The program was organized under the leadership of Smt. Sarita Rajput a well known social worker of Chandni Chowk.
The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was announced by the PM Modi on 15th 2014, on the Indian Independence Day. This program was then launched on Gandhi Jayanti. 02 October 2014. On 02 October 2014, PM Modi asked everyone to join this campaign.
On 2 October, Anil Ambani said "I am honored to be invited by our respected Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi to join the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan... I dedicate myself to this movement and will invite nine other leading Indians to join me in the Clean India campaign...".
