Government not privatizing Railways: Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today, visited his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi to mark the 'Good Governance Day'. Today is the birthday of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and on this occasion PM Modi is attending a number of programs.

PM Modi inaugurated the diesel locomotive factory and also laid the foundation stone for the expansion of DLW Stadium. While speaking he ruled out the privatization of Indian Railways.

PM Said "Those who are spreading lies that railways is being privatized...this is not our thought or intention,".

He said that the Railways is the backbone of India for the development of country. He said that their Govt. is trying to put more money for the all round of development of Railways.

Modi said, "We want to set up railway universities in all four parts of India."

Today PM is on the visit of Varanasi and he was received by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and state minister Ahmed Hasan at the Babatpur airport.
