The new version of Android OS, Android 5.0 Lollipop has officially launched and it comes with many exciting features. The most import feature of Android 5.0 Lollipop includes the feature of the resuming the application from the last use.

Google finally announced the features of the most awaited release of Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The Android L will be now called Android 5.0 Lollipop and it is intruding the  inclusion of Material Design. A new and better interface design is also introduced in this release of the Android 5.0 Lollipop. It provides the features such as  flatter icons and physics-based animations.

Here we are discussing about the features and the expected release date of the Android 5.0 Lollipop. Many new phones and even the previously released phones will soon find the update option for their phone.

The Android 5.0 is well optimized to use the 64-bit processor and the chip set. Now the manufactures will start working towards creating the 64-bit architecture based mobile phones. Now the 64-bit based system will address the memory address of up to 64 bits.

Through the Google’s Project Volta, new important features of reducing the battery usage is added. Now there is almost 90 minutes more backup when there is low power in the Mobile Phone.

Release dates:

In the coming weeks Android 5.0 Lollipop will be released for the top mobile phones such as Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and Google Play Edition. The Android 5.0 will be released for the Galaxy S5, HTC One (M8) or LG G3 soon, but till now there no official plan which is available to public.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop is promising many new features and better usability for the mobile devices.

  • Support for resuming application where you left: This feature is available for songs, photos, apps and even the recent searches making this much user friendly.
     
  • Material design: Now this version of Android supports the fluid and purposeful motion.
     
  • Better access to the information: The Android 5.0 Lollipop is well designed to show the right information at the right moment. On the Android 5.0 Lollipop based devices the messages are well displayed. In case of tablet it shows inbox alongside the message, while on the watch it shows new emails as they arrive.
     
  • Support for rules: You can set the rules for the messages and people based on the priority rules so that only selected message or information is passed to you on the priority hours.
     
  • Less time to charge: It shows the time left for charging.
     
  • More security features: More security features added so that you can control who can login to your device and what information can access.
     
  • Device sharing: You can share you device based on rules among family members and even firends.
     
  • Quick settings: New features added for quickly accessing the setting functions to set the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and location etc..
     
  • Better connectivity: Now it supports low powered Bluetooth connectivity.
