'Travelling Photo Exhibition' to mark Golden Jubilee celebrations of Kendriya Vidyalaya

As part of the ongoing yearlong activities of its Golden Jubilee Celebrations, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) launched the first of the 14 travelling photo exhibitions at Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts, Janpath, New Delhi. The travelling photo exhibition was inaugurated by Minister of State, HRD, Govt. of India Jitin Prasada in the presence of Avinash Dikshit, Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and other senior officials from the Ministry of HRD and KVS.

These exhibitions about growth and evolution of KVS will spread awareness about contribution of Kendriya Vidyalayas in the field of school education. The exhibition shall be stationed at 14 (New Delhi, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Patna, Jaipur, Kolkata, Guwahati, Bhopal, Ahmadabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Trivandrum, Chennai & Hyderabad) locations.

The celebrations of Golden Jubilee of KVS began with the inaugural function organized in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 6th February 2013. During the inauguration, the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh unveiled the new logo of KVS.

While speaking Prime Minister stressed upon improvement of quality of teaching, better learning outcome, use of Information and Communication Technology besides appreciating the benchmarks set by KVS in the field of school education in the country.

Ever since its inception to the Golden Jubilee year in 2013, KVS has strived for growth not only in terms of coverage across the country but also from the perspectives of new and innovative practices in the field of imparting quality education to school children. KVS has also significantly contributed in the national integration by nurturing a uniform ethos of Indianness among students and staff.
