The Chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee P.C. Chacko who is hearing for the 2G Scam on Thrusday said that the JPC will decide today whether to adopt the 2G scam report or not at 3 pm.
"I am getting the support of everybody from the committee, there is bound to be a difference of opinion. We have done a very tough job for the past two years and now we have made a fair report, and we are also sure the report may be or may not be acceptable to all the members. But yes, we will discuss and sort out as to whether we will adopt the report or not. I am personally very hopeful about it," Chacko said.
Moreover, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Yashwant Sinha is in discussion with "like-minded" members of other political parties like DMK, BJD and Left to make a common concent and oppose the draft report.
Sinha is believed to be working to muster the numbers required to reject the draft report through voting.
Sinha, who has been continuously attacking on government on the issue, made it clear that Thursday's meeting would be a stormy one.
"The JPC is facing the risk of a complete stalemate if not total destruction. We shall deal with issue in the meeting of the JPC on April 25," he said in a letter to the Prime Minister, ahead of Thursday's meeting, while demanding again that he should appear before the Committee," said Sinha.
