'Depressed' Indian IT worker quits for being paid too high a salary!

London, Wed, 06 Nov 2013 ANI

London, Nov. 6 (ANI): An Indian computer programmer left his job after complaining to his bosses that he was getting a very high salary.

IT worker Sandeep Jia, who quit his 450-pound-a-month job, said that he was getting depressed, asserting that he sorted out the problem by leaving and looking for a different job, Metro.co.uk reported.

The 32-year-old worker had repeatedly asked his bosses for a pay-cut as his wealth made him feel "guilty" when others in Bangalore, India, lived in poverty.

However, when his bosses repeatedly ignored his wish he decided to put in his papers.

According to psychologists, the feeling of guilt is a growing problem in India where there is a huge disparity in wealth. (ANI)
