Prince Harry continues mum Diana's mine clearance mission in Angola

London, Sat, 10 Aug 2013 ANI

London, Aug 10 (ANI): Prince Harry is in Africa to promote the work of a mine clearance charity, which had been championed by his late mum Princess Diana.

The 28-year-old prince will tour war-torn Angola's minefields where deadly devices remain buried after years of conflict, the Daily Star reported.

Diana also backed the HALO Trust, which works to clear unexploded bombs around the world, and visited Angola before her death in 1997.

Harry's spokesman said that the prince, a patron of the charity, was "on a private visit" to the country as part of the HALO Trust's 25th anniversary appeal.

It comes after fearless Harry detonated several mines under the supervision of experts in Mozambique. (ANI)
