Mourinho agreed to Chelsea return in 'five minutes'

London, Tue, 04 Jun 2013 ANI

London, June 4 (ANI): New Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has revealed that it had taken him just five minutes to agree to his 'emotional return' to Stamford Bridge.

Although Mourinho has never spent more than three years with a club, but he hopes this time will be different as he wants to stay and build a glorious new dynasty at Chelsea, the Daily Star reports.

According to Mourinho, the decision to return to Chelsea was an easy one, adding that after a meeting with the club's owner Roman Abramovich and chairman Bruce Buck, all of them decided straight away to appoint Mourinho as the new manager after a few minutes of short and pragmatic questions.

The report further said that despite a strained relationship between Abramovich and Mourinho after the former forced him out the previous time, the owner may have brought back Mourinho to the club where he won two Premier League titles in three seasons as the club won only the Europa League this season despite having a high profile recently.

However, Mourinho appeared to be content with his decision, saying that he is hoping to have a successful time at Chelsea as the club has a talented, young squad, although he added that they need stability to reach a high point of their evolution and for their careers.

Stating that he has come at a club which he loves for the first time in his career, Mourinho admitted that times have changed and claimed that he has grown up since he strutted into Chelsea for the first time in 2004 with an arrogance his fans loved and his critics hated.

Mourinho also hinted that he will not be selling unsettled defender David Luiz to Barcelona, saying that although he likes the fact that the club has four or five players from the beginning of the winning Chelsea, he is much more confident with the profile of the younger players, the club will have long-term space for improvement and development.
