Leader of the Opposition in Delhi Assembly, Prof. Vijay Kumar Malhotra has expressed his concern over the daring day-light robbery of ATM Cash Van at Defence colony. He has said that people of Delhi are terrorized with this incident. Day light robbery in front of the Bank, in the presence of public, speaks volumes about the deteriorating law & order situation in Delhi.
Prof. Malhotra said that we have been demanding for installation of CCTV Cameras at all Markets, in front of Banks, Cross Roads and other places where large crowd gather but the Delhi Govt. kept on spending crores on its own advertisements in the Newspapers but did not take any interest to install CCTV cameras to protect the people and property.
Prof. Malhotra said that in spite of frequent and increasing incidents of day light murders, dacoity, loot, gang rape, the Chief Minister of Delhi had expressed any concern even once over the deteriorating law & order situation in Delhi and not taking any effective steps to check the same, shows her insensitiveness towards the Delhites and proves that she has no concern for the people of Delhi.
He further said that we have been constantly raising the issue of every deteriorating law and order situation in Delhi, but the deaf & dumb Govt. of Delhi under Congress Party has not affect.
It is a matter of shame for the Union Home Minister and the Chief Minister of Delhi that the law and order situation in National Capital has collapsed. In addition to the Office of the Police Commissioner of Delhi, there are Offices of IB, CID. CBI, Union Home Ministry, PMO and many other agencies connected with security are situated in Delhi and even then women, senior citizens and common people are living under fear and murderers, rapist and dacoits are roaming freely in Delhi.
