Youth nabbed with Heroin worth Rs. 50 lakh

A team of officers of the Crime Branch has apprehended one person involved in trafficking of drugs and has recovered 500 Gms. of fine quality Heroine. The recovered Heroine is worth Rs. 50 Lakhs (approximately) in the International Market.

According to Sanjay Kumar Jain, DCP Crime information was received that a person namely Danish would be coming near Bus Stand Yamuna Bazar, Opposite Nigam Bodh Ghat in the evening to deliver a consignment of Heroin to his customer.

A trap was laid around Bus Stand Yamuna Bazar and at about 5 PM, one person later identified as Danish aged 25 years was apprehended and on his search, 500 Gms. of fine quality Heroin was recovered.

According to police sources during interrogation Danish said that he came to Delhi in 1999 and started learning carpenter work and later on, he started working as carpenter as well as artisan work on wood. He started living with his maternal uncle Gulsher who was a notorious drug trafficker.

He got attracted towards his dealings due to easy money and started supplying Heroin to the clients of Gulsher.

Further efforts are being made to ascertain the source of supply and nab the supplier.
