DUSU election: JP comes forward to ensure victory of NSUI

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Jai Prakash Agarwal, MP exhorted the district and block Congress committee presidents, MLAs and the Municipal Councillors to get themselves strongly involved to ensure the success of the NSUI candidates in the Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) elections. He asked them to go around and work to introduce the NSUI candidates among the student community in the DUSU elections on September 14.

Shri Agarwal said this while addressing a large meeting organized at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan, to introduce the NSUI candidates. Those present were district and block presidents, MLAs, Councillors, DPCC office-bearers, those who contested the elections and a large number of Congress workers. NSUI candidate for the post of the president Arun Hooda, for vice-president Varun Khari, secretary Varun Chaudhary and joint secretary Raveena Choudhary were present at the meeting.

Agarwal, addressing a large gathering, said the NSUI has always fought for the welfare of the student community, and held many rallies to secure the democratic rights of the students. Agarwal assured that the way the NSUI conducted the Delhi University election works in a peaceful and understanding manner was very motivating and rewarding.

He said the students who enroll at various colleges of Delhi University on merit from all over the country expect an egalitarian atmosphere, with every student getting equal treatment. He said like the manner in which the youth and student community are the backbone of the country, the NSUI, through its commendable works, has emerged as a popular students? union. Shri Agarwal appealed to all the Congress leaders and workers to work among the student community in their areas, and request them to vote for the NSUI candidates in the DUSU elections.
