BCCI recommends names of Rahul Dravid for Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award; Yuvraj Singh for Arjun

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reportedly announced that it has decided to recommend the name of former Test captain and Cricketer Rahul Dravid for most prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award, who has recently taken retirement from all form of cricket.
Informing to media, BCCI's CAO Prof Ratnakar Shetty said, "We will be forwarding the names of Rahul Dravid for Khel Ratna Award next week to the government."
"The name of Player of the World Cup 2011 Yuvraj Singh is also be sent to government for Arjun award," added Shetty.
Yuvraj Singh who became the player of tournament in ODI World Cup 2011 has been rehabilitating from chest cancer.
The government had recently extended the deadline for the nominations till July 20.
Earlier, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar and Indian Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni had won India's most coveted sports award.
