Driver of Sohail Khan crushes 70-year-old woman to death

A 70-year-old woman identified as Chandra Bala was run over by Dhananjay Pimpale, driver of actor and filmmaker Sohail Khan. Eyewitnesses rushed Chandra to hospital where she couldn't survive.

He was driving a Lexus car - registration number - MH 06 W 540 which belongs to Sohail Khan. The accident occurred near St Andrews Church in Bandra at around 12-1 am on Sunday night.

Dhananjay was then arrested by the police and underwent an alcohol test, which turned out to be negative.

He is been taken held in custody on charges of rash driving and blamable homicide not amounting to murder.

Eyewitness said that after the car hit the woman it did not stop. A passerby and a police constable took Bala to Bhabha Hospital where she couldn't make it.

According to police Sohail's driver was behind the wheels but Khan was not in the car during the accident.
