India made 'World's most affordable tablet' launched in Dubai

India's most affordable tablet computer of world has now been launched in Dubai.

The 7-inch tab in the XPad series will price Dh299 in Dubai. The price of the tablet was revealed during a press conference in Dubai on Wednesday, July 11.

Simmtronics, the manufacturer of the tablet has claimed that the device has been the "hottest selling" product in the Asia-Pacific region since its launch with a current order booking status of almost 500,000 units.

The tablet configures a High Definition display and is Wi-Fi enabled which runs on Google's Android ICS4.0 operating system. Moreover, the device also supports 3G connectivity and features TF card and USB port.

According to the Gulf News, the XPad's 7-inch model that is priced at Dh220 in Dubai is just Dh80 more costlier than the commercial version of the Aakash tab in India, which has been claimed as the world's cheapest tablet.
