Bihar makes it again, highest growth rate at 13.1%

Bihar once again emerged as the fastest growing state of India showing an impressive growth rate of 13.1% for the year 2011-12. The growth rate of Bihar is even higher than States like Punjab, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. Lat year also Bihar topped the list by showing a remarkable growth rate of 14.8%.

Delhi and Puducherry followed Bihar with 11.3% and 11% growth rate respectively. Other names in the top five lists are Chhattisgarh and Goa with a growth rate of 10.8 and 10.7 percent.

Gujarat, the favorite state for the investors shown a growth of 9.1%, while Tamil Nadu grew by 9.4%.

Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh are the laggards showing a growth rate of less than that of India?s GDP growth of 6.5 percent in 2011-12.

Bihar is doing exceptionally well as far as growth is concerned with the lots of construction works going on and law and order improving substantially.
