CM inaugurates electric sub station in Capital

Sheila Dikshit, Chief Minister, Delhi inaugurated 33 KVElectric Sub-Station at Keventer Dairy, Sardar Patel Marg and a Porta Cabin at Fourch Square, R.K. Ashram Marg on today. Ms. Archna Arora, Chairperson, Smt. Tajdar Babar, Vice Chairperson, Shri Karan Singh Tanwar, MLA & Member alongwith Senior Officers of NDMC were also present on this occasion.

NDMC has commissioned this new electric sub-station of 33 KV capacity at Keventer Dairy as part of ?Electric SystemStrengthening and Upgradation Work?. This sub-station has been completed in 18 months. The cost of this sub-station is Rs.12 crore.

This sub-station has been constructed on a plot area of 1948 sq. meters in which 422 sq.meters area build up as a part of sub-station. A dedicated rain water harvesting system within the compound has been installed. The sub-station has a State-of-Art indoor 33KV Gas Insulated Switchgear System.

This electric sub-station will strengthen the uninterrupted electricity supply to the areas of Chanakya Puri, S.P.Marg, Teen Murti, Malcha Marg, Embassy Area, Various state Guest Houses, Diplomatic Enclave, Panchsheel Marg, Bardolai Marg,Circular Road, Kautilya Marg, Shanti Path, Chandragupt Marg, Nyay Marg, Keventer Dairy area and Veerawali Hospital etc.

The pre-fabricated porta cabin has been constructed at E Block, Sector-III, DIZ Area, R.K.Ashram Marg, Fourch Squareby NDMC. This Porta Cabin has been erected at the estimated cost of Rs.4.68 lakhs, which have been provided from ?My Delhi I Care Fund Scheme?. The porta cabin can be used by Senior Citizens as well as other residents of the area for recreation, library and for community gathering.

This Porta Cabin is of 6 x 5 meters size with toilet block.In this Porta Cabin one colour television, plastic chairs (15 Nos.) & two tables and ceiling fan have been provided. Three playing equipments have also been provided in the PortaCabin.
