The water crisis in Delhi is continuously worsening amid rising scorching heat day by day. Due to burning days, the level of water in Delhi Jal Board?s Water Treatment Plants (WTP) is continuously eroding, disturbing daily routine life of Delhiites.

The pond level of Wazirabad WTP has dipped to 672.8 feet as against the stipulated level of 674.5 feet which is required to maintain normal production of water to fulfill the requirements of North and East Delhiites.

Adding a woe, Haryana has also shrunk the water supply from earlier 425 cusecs to 385 cusec to the Haiderpur Water Treatment Plant.

Due to this water cut, the production of water has gone down from 210 MGD to 192 MGD, causing hardship to over one million residents of Northwest and West Delhi.

The condition of South Delhi is worst as Okhla Water Treatment Plant is already facing water supply shortage and seeking help from neighbourby states Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.
