Prez Polls: NDA yet to open its cards

Ruling UPA alliance is yet to decide the final name for president poll and main opposition alliance NDA is also is not ready to open its card for its candidate. NDA convener and JD (U) president Sharad Yadav said that alliance is waiting for UPA final name.

He said that it is tradition that always ruling party proposes the name first and so why should NDA be announced its name first. He commented regarding the support for Prabab Mukherjee that has UPA has confirmed his name. He said that although he has good relations with Mukherjee, but non-committal regarding the support for prez poll, he added.

Ignoring any probability that if BJP support Mukherjee then what would be his instance, Yadav said first let UPA decide the final name and then matter can be discussed.

Commenting about the Vice President candidature for Jaswant singh, Yadav said that never any name has been discussed in any NDA meeting. It was first came in light when Jaswant meets Mulayam Singh Yadav and it will be better to ask Jaswant singh about the meeting.
