IIFA Awards 2012: 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' and 'Rockstar' favourites

The13th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards 2012 concluded
Saturday night at the beautiful city of Singapore. The was was dominated by Zoya
Akhtar`s 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' and Imtiaz Ali`s 'Rockstar' with each
winning four awards.
Ranbir Kapoor won the best actor award for his movie 'Rockstar' where he
played the role of an aspiring singer. He beat actors like Amitabh Bachchan,
Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan to get the trophy.
Vidya Balan continued her winning journey for the best actress for the movie
'The Dirty Picture' beating nominees like Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor, Mahie
Gill and Kangna Ranaut.

- Best Performance in a Comic Role : Ritesh Deshmukh (Double Dhamaal)
- Best Performance in a Negative Role : Prakash Raj (Singham)
- Best Debut (Male) : Vidyut Jamwal (Force)
- Best Debut (Female) : Parineeti Chopra for Ladies vs Ricky Bahl
