CBSE, Delhi government schools perform better:Lovely

As the overall performances of Delhi schools in 12 CBSE results have been declined, performance of Delhi government schools have been remained satisfactory.

Delhi education minister Arvinder Singh Lovely said that schools runs under the Delhi government have performed the best among government run schools across the country in the CBSE exams results.

Lovely said that this year 87.72 percentage students studying in Delhi government schools passed the exams compared to 87.54 percentages last year. 

Performance of government schools of Delhi is once again the best in the country among all government schools. Pass percentage of Pratibha schools is 99.07 percent, and 78 government schools reported 100 percent result as compared to 70 schools last year," he added.

As the overall percentage of girls was better than boys in CBSE results, story remains same for Delhi also where girls beat boys in passing percentage. In Delhi region, passing percentage for girls is 90.06 percentages whereas boys are only 81.14 percentages.

It is noted that a total of 1,21,250 students appeared in the examination this year, a rise of over 9,000 students compared to last year's 1,12,189 students.
