In a bid to attend the party's national executive meet, BJP leader and Chief Minister of Gujarat Narendra Modi and party president and his rival Nitin Gadkari are likely to share the stage on the second day of the meet on Friday.
The first day of the meet was dominated by Modi, who accepted to attend the meet after leaving his rival Sanjay Joshi from the post of party's national executive. This meet is being organized for strengthening the party in states and in center but is has become the dais of power demonstration.
According to workers of RSS who works from outside to strengthen the party said that Narendra Modi has proved that he is too strong even the party's top command, which force Joshi to resign from the post despite later immense popularity in among workers and executive of both BJP and RSS.
After resignation of Joshi and assurance of Modi's to attend the meeting, Gadkari said that with the end of this row, he and Modi will work "shoulder to shoulder".
The BJP chief also praised Joshi for showing "large heart" in resigning from the executive in the interest of the organisation to "end" any controversy.
Modi had stayed away from the last meeting of the national executive held in Delhi in September in 2011, apparently peeved at the induction of Joshi into Uttar Pradesh election campaign by Gadkari. He also did not campaign in the UP assembly polls.
Another powerful leader of BJP in Karnataka, former state Chief minister BS Yeddyurappa has decided to attend the party's meet today. He is likely to meet Nitin Gadkari there.
