The young Kadapa MP and YS Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday night wrote a letter to Prime Minister seeking his intervention to save him from an alleged conspiracy hatched by the Congress in the collaboration with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the investigating agency which is probing him in an alleged disproportionate assets case.
Addressing to PM Manmohan Singh, Reddy has reportedly written that CBI can arrest him any time due to mounting pressure from Congress and TDP. Moreover, they can also do a large-scale violence and blame it to me.
Jagan Mohan has also included the name of Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan in the conspire.
Giving the reason behind conspiracy, Jagan said that upcoming by-election has feared the opposition, so they wanted to postponed it.
"I sincerely request you to use your good offices and get to the bottom of the undemocratic and shameful conspiracy and prevent it," Jagan said in the letter to the Prime Minister.
Jagan has also wrote a letter to Chief Election Commissioner SY Quraishi. "This is not a mere allegation, but I have credible and reliable information on how and where the conspiracy took shape and who were party to it," he said.
He charged Congress and TDP "want to create a law and order problem across the state after my arrest and push the blame on me".
A special court declined to grant exemption to Jagan from personal appearance in the DA case and directed him to comply with the summons issued recently. Jagan, who is busy campaigning for his party candidates in the by polls, will cut short his tour and appear in the court on May 28.
Jagan claimed "Union Minister Vayalar Ravi (during his recent visit to Hyderabad) held discussions with the state DGP as well as CBI Joint Director. Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy is also a party to it. Later, the matter was discussed with TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu as well".
The CBI alleges that Jagan was able to build his colossal empire worth Rs 365 crores because of his father's position as chief minister that helped him to pressure companies to invest in his firms.
However, Jagan refutes such charges and alleges that the Centre has misused CBI against him in the assets case.
