Three Northeastern states to get full-fledged High Courts by October

Both houses of Parliament have cleared the bill to establish three full-fledged high courts in three northeastern states ? Tripura, Manipur and Meghalaya.
It is expected that these high courts is likely to be established by October this year.
For setting up separate full-fledged three high courts, Parliament have to amend thee bills - North-Eastern Areas (Re- organisation) Act, 1971, the North-Eastern Areas (Re-organisation) and Other Related Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2012.
Currently, six northeastern states of Tripura, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh have benches of the Guwahati High Court. Sikkim has a separate high court.
Under the North-Eastern Areas (Re-organisation) Act, 1971, Tripura, Manipur and Meghalaya became full-fledged states on Jan 21, 1972.
