PW vs RR: Ajit Chandila's hat-trick ensured Pune Warriors eight straight loss

In the 60th match of IPL played at Sawai Mansingh stadium Rajasthan Royals hammered a 45 runs defeat over Pune Warriors. This marked eight continuous losses for Warriors and put Rajasthan on a competitive place for the playoffs.

Rajasthan playing first put a score of 170 on the board thanks to Rahane 61 runs and Watson's 58. Watson in his innings hit 6 fours and 4 sixes. Ashish Nehra took 3 Rajasthan wickets.

During the Chase Rahul Dravid gave the ball to Chandila to bowl the first over and Pune batsmen had no clue whatsoever. He removed Ryder in the 5th ball of the first over then Ganguly in the very next ball. When he came for second over he removed Uthappa on the very first ball claiming the first hat-trick of this year's IPL. Pune couldn't built a partnership and at the end could only make 125 at the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs.

Chandila was awarded with man of the match trophy for his exemplary figure of 4 for 13 in his 4 overs.

The fight for top four has got more fierce and Rajasthan are right in there with this win. Rajasthan is at 6th position with 14 points while Pune are at 8th position with 8 points.
