Kejriwal is like 'unguided expired missile': Naqvi

New Delhi, Sat, 20 Oct 2012 ANI

New Delhi, Oct 20: Bharatiya Janata Party senior leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today referred to anti-graft crusader Arvind Kejriwal as an "unguided expired missile", saying that people who make sweeping statements on the basis of incomplete information never succeed.

Naqvi added that Kejriwal's stance of pointing a finger at every possible party raises a question about his own credibility.

"One can only say that he is an unguided expired missile. He is such a missile that is suppressed, following its take off. So, I just want to say that such people do not succeed, despite being over ambitious.

"The people who make sweeping statements on the basis of incomplete information and those who try to prove that every possible political party is corrupt raises a question about his own credibility," he said.

Naqvi said that the biggest challenge before the country is corruption, but Kejriwal's portrayal of such issues in the public domain is a non-serious manner.

He fired salvos at the Congress party, saying that such baseless allegations suit their image.

"The biggest challenge in this country today is corruption. Presenting this challenge before the public in a non-serious manner and stepping back after providing incomplete information, this itself proves that he wants to be a play politics on a small level. As far as the Congress party is concerned, these things suit them. Such false and baseless allegations and sweeping statements suit their corruption-based activities," he said.

Meanwhile, Indian social activist, Manish Sisodia, while interacting with reporters in Kaushambi, said that such questions are being raised over and over again to divert the attention of the public from important issues.

In a letter to Kejriwal, Congress leader Digvijay Singh has described the activist as a "self-serving ambitious megalomaniac" having the "streak" of Hitler in him.

Singh alleged that Kejriwal wanted him to recommend his name as the member of the National Advisory Council (NAC).

He added that a leader like Digvijay Singh had been accusing Anna Hazare and others for a long time, though he tends to overlook corrupt practices by the likes of Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra and BJP chief, Nitin Gadkari. (ANI)
