New Delhi, Oct 13 (IANS) Baba Ramdev Saturday welcomed the decision of the Uttarakhand government to recommend a CBI probe into the disappearance of his teacher, Guru Shankar Dev Singh, missing since 2007, amid accusations that the yoga guru was complicit in the act.

Baba Ramdev demanded an impartial probe into the incident. He said that he is not afraid of any inquiry, a day after the Congress government of Uttarakhand recommended a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into Shankar Dev Singh's disappearance, an ayurveda expert and teacher of Baba Ramdev.

Baba Ramdev is heading the Patanjali Trust since Shankar Dev Singh's disappearance five years ago.

The yoga guru said that he has written a letter to the president and the prime minister regarding every issues linked to me. He has requested them to conduct investigations into every matter against him under the supervision of a sitting judge of the Supreme court .

He said that he is ready to face enquiry over all allegations levelled against him.

"If the government failed to set a enquiry for probing issues against me, then I will protest against it and demanded setting up an investigation to probe the matter," said Baba Ramdev.

The yoga guru said that he will be happy to get back his guru missing for the last five years.

Congress General secretary Digvijay Singh had last month raised the issue, saying something was wrong in the matter.

Congress members have been hinting at complicity between the yoga guru and his associate Acharya Balkrishna in the disappearance of Shankar Dev Singh.

But Baba Ramdev had accused Digvijay Singh of "stooping too low". The yoga guru said the police had tried to find his guru but were unable to trace him.
