The spectacular views from Apple exec's spanking new $17m-5-story mansion in San Francisco!

Sydney, Sep 13 (ANI): Senior Vice President of Industrial Design at Apple Inc., Jony Ive has purchased a 17 million dollar-mansion in San Francisco, California, which boasts of views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island.

The magnificent five-story house, which is located in the Gold Coast neighborhood of Pacific Heights, also features a garden courtyard, a bottom-level staff apartment and six fireplaces, along with an oak-paneled library and a deck-level spa.

Built in 1927 by local architecture firm Willis Polk and Co, the 7,274-square-foot mansion has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.

According to its Sotheby's International Realty listing, where it was initially priced for 25 million dollars in February, the brick-facade mansion is located on one of the city's 'most exclusive blocks'.

Ive, who has been credited with designing the iPod, iPhone and other Apple products, currently lives in the city with his wife and children. A long-time friend of Steve Jobs, the 45-year-old British executive joined Apple in 1996, and was knighted earlier this year, the paper added. (ANI)
