Lineker says 'bad boy' footballers have nothing to learn from Olympians

London, Aug 30(ANI): Former England striker Gary Lineker has claimed modern day footballers have nothing to learn from those athletes who participate in the Games, since many of the Olympians have indulged in non-ethical practices such as doping and fixing etc.
"There are things we can learn, but more in an organizational sense. In all sports, people get competitive, things happen that shouldn't happen," The Telegraph quoted Lineker, as saying.
"Football's the big cheese, if you like. It's easy to have a swipe, there's a lot of footballers and when they fall foul they become big news," he added.
About the Olympics, Lineker said: "Behaviorally, we saw things happen in badminton, we saw things in rowing, we saw the cycling where they supposedly just fell off the bike and there were drug cheats, so you have to be a little bit careful saying football should learn [from these people]." (ANI)
