New Delhi, Aug 28 (IANS) An Indian and a Nigerian were arrested in a drug trafficking case, Delhi Police said Tuesday.

Manvinder Singh Marwah, 26, resident of Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, was arrested on Aug 22 near Moolchand Hospital in south Delhi's Lajpat Nagar.

His Nigerian associate, Earnest, 32, was arrested from west Delhi's Uttam Nagar on Marwah's tipoff, said Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, deputy commissioner of police.

Fine cocaine weighing 151 grams and worth Rs.1.5 crore was recovered from their possession, said the officer.

The duo have been allegedly supplying cocaine in Delhi, Goa and Mumbai.

Marwah received cocaine from Earnest and sold it in Delhi to his clients, police said. He first met Earnest in Goa December last year, after which Earnest shifted to Delhi.

Earnest had come to India in May 2011 on a business visa.

"Earnest started procuring cocaine from Lampa, a Nigerian national based in Goa. His interrogation shows the consignment of cocaine enters India through Africa," said the officer.
