London, Aug 24 (ANI): The small town of Cambridge Bay, Nanavut, one of the most remote places on earth located in Canada's Arctic region, can now be easily seen through Google's Map Street service.
Google said it used its StreetView tricycle to map the small Inuit town, with a population of just 1,500, and the pictures will be online in a few months
According to The Telegraph, cartographer Chris Kulluk invited the Internet search giant to the region.
"For us, it's like inviting people to our home, and also when there's people abroad from Cambridge Bay or Nunavut in the future they can show their friends what their home looks like and what their house is like," he told a Canadian TV channel.
In 2010, Google took StreetView to Antarctica, extending the service to cover all of the world's continents.
Earlier in 2012, the search engine photographed the Antarctic huts of explorers Scott and Shackleton. (ANI)
