Congress rubbishes BJP's "foul and unparliamentary language" allegation, says walk out choreographed

New Delhi, Wed, 22 Aug 2012 ANI

New Delhi, Aug 22 (ANI): The Congress party has dismissed the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) allegation that the Congress members resorted to the use of "foul and unparliamentary language" in the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) meeting held here on Wednesday.

Interacting with media, Congress MP Manish Tewari, who was also part of the JPC meeting, said BJP's move to walk out of the meeting was pre decided.

"It was their game plan to stage walkout. Before walkout the media knew about their moves. This was already in the entire media. I vehemently deny any charge of using un parliamentary language," he said.

Earlier, the BJP, led by former Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha, walked out of the JPC meeting probing the 2G scam, after falling out with the Congress party over the issue of calling Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister P. Chidambaram for questioning.

BJP also accused the Congress members of using "foul and unparliamentary language" in the meeting.

Interacting with mediapersons, Yashwant Sinha, said the party repeated its demand of calling both Singh and Chidambaram before the JPC in "a most civilized way".

"We wanted a decision on that today because it has been pending for the last eight weeks. The Congress members, mainly some junior members, got agitated and used foul and unparliamentary language," Sinha said. (ANI)
