Imran Khan calls for disengagement from war on terror

Islamabad, Fri, 17 Aug 2012 ANI

Islamabad, Aug 17 (ANI): Putting the blame of the attack on a Pakistan Air Force airbase in Kamra on the army fighting war on terror for the U.S., Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has said that Pakistan needs to disengage itself from the war and then should consider launching military offensives.

Khan said that every now and then, U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta gives statements and it appears as if the Pakistan Army is "deaf and dumb".

"People will say that it is a rented army and we take money from the U.S. to fight their wars," The Express Tribune quoted Khan, as saying.

Khan said a military offensive carried out in North Waziristan will have its implications on Pakistan, including a rise in terror attacks and will threaten the national security. (ANI)
