London, August 14 (ANI): Diving ace Tom Daley has revealed how David Beckham's encouraging words helped him bag bronze at the London Olympics 2012.
The sport star admitted that the football star's support and advice helped him compose himself after he missed out on a medal previously in the synchronised 10m platform event with Pete Waterfield.
"He wanted to wish me well and to say keep your chin up," the Sun quoted Daley as saying.
"David was asking how I've been feeling, giving me advice about what to take out of the synchro. He was kind of asking me the right questions, telling me it's not that bad and that I can come back.
Beckham watched on nervously with sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz at Saturday's event, then looked ecstatic as Tom took home the bronze for Team GB.
Afterwards, he sought out Tom to say congratulations and added a photo of the two of them to his official Facebook page.
He captioned it: "Was great to catch up with @TomDaleyOfficial after the event last night, so happy for him after the year he's been through". (ANI)
