Washington, August 13 (ANI): A library check out card that Elvis Presley had signed when he was just 13-years-old is among the list of items that will be auctioned.

According to the Daily Mail, the teenager had checked out a copy of "The Courageous Heart: A Life of Andrew Jackson for Young Readers" from Humes High School in Memphis, Tennessee, Fox News reported.

A librarian stumbled upon the 1948 library card with Elvis' signature while discarding old books.

The current bid for the card, which is being sold with a copy of the book, is 2,600 dollars, and is expected to grow to at least 4,000 dollars when the Heritage Auction closes on August 14, two days before the 35th anniversary of the legendary singer's death.

According to the New York Times, apart from the library card, other items in the auction include guns, a trench coat and the singing superstar's pill bottles; one of the pill bottles is cracked, dated 1974, and originally contained Presley's tetracycline that his private physician had prescribed.

"Medicine now gone," the catalogue notes.

Elvis died in 1977 at the age of 42. (ANI)
