Muamba to have one more 'minor but necessary' heart surgery

London, Aug.9 (ANI): Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba is set to have another surgery on his heart, as he eyes complete revival from the ghastly heart attack that he suffered during an FA cup match against Tottenham Hotspurs in March at White Hart Lane.

A specialist in Belgium is treating the Bolton midfielder, and as he prepared for the operation, which would take place on Thursday, his girlfriend Shauna tweeted friends and family.

"Thank you guys for the support if it is Gods will @fmuamba will play again even better and stronger than before. Faith can move mountains," The Daily Mirror quoted Shauna's tweet, as saying.

"For all your kind words thank you so much @fmuamba and I really appreciate it. Promise to update at the end of the week xx" she added.

Since suffering the heart attack, Muamba has been monitored daily and has been slowly building his fitness levels. He has a device implanted in his chest that will restart his heart if it stops again.

But the cardiologist has recommended more treatment to control his heart rate. (ANI)
