Sunny morning in Delhi, rains likely

New Delhi, Aug 8 (IANS) It was a sunny morning in the national capital Wednesday, though the met department has forecast rains later in the day.

"The sky will be generally cloudy towards the afternoon. One or two spells of rain are likely in some parts of the city," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

"Maximum and minimum temperature will stay around 35 and 27 degrees Celsius," the official said.

The minimum temperature had settled at 27.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above the average, with 5 mm of rainfall since Tuesday.

Incessant rains Tuesday morning brought down the maximum temperature to 32.9 degrees Celsius, a notch below the average. Humidity was recorded at 83 percent.
