Obama brands Romney 'Robin Hood in reverse'

Washington, August 7 (ANI): President Barack Obama has compared Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney to a reverse Robin Hood at a campaign event, essentially accusing him of robbing the poor to pay the rich.

The 'centerpiece' of Romney's economic plan is a 5 trillion dollars tax cut, Obama told supporters at a fundraiser.

"It's like Robin Hood in reverse-it's Romney-hood," Politico quoted Obama as saying.

At the center of the dispute is a report by the Tax Policy Center that concluded that Romney's plan would ultimately raise taxes on the middle class, the report said.

Obama has made tax policy and tax fairness a key campaign theme in recent weeks. (ANI)
