Swimming sensation Le Clos' father apologises for calling him 'beautiful boy'

London, Aug.2(ANI): South African swimming sensation Chad Le Clos, who beat Olympic legend Michael Phelps in the 200m butterfly final by five hundredths of a second, received an apology from his father for calling him a "beautiful boy" on live TV.

Bert Le Clos paid an emotional tribute after his son won the Olympic gold medal, but he didn't realize the cameras were rolling when he made his tearful outburst.

"Wow. Look at him. He's beautiful. What a beautiful boy. Sorry, sorry. He's unbelievable. He's committed like you cannot believe," the Daily Express quoted Bert, as saying.

"He's the most down-to-earth beautiful boy you will ever meet in your life. Look at him, look at him. I love you. He's crying like me," he added. (ANI)
