New York, July 29 (ANI): Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis' timeless grace and elegance, chronicled in a series of candid and previously unpublished photographs has been unveiled on what would have been her 83rd birthday.
The photographs captured some of her private moments as the First Lady, a touching remembrance of "Camelot," and the attention President John F. Kennedy's beautiful young wife commanded, the New York Daily News reported.
According to Life magazine, the rare photos, which never ran in its pages, "offers a section of pictures from that time in her life when she was first known to a rapt world, simply, as Jackie."
The pictures captured a smiling Jackie accompanying her husband John on the campaign trail and at home in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts in 1960 with young daughter Caroline - both clutching telephones.
Introducing the photos, the publication recalled that the President was apparently never jealous of his wife's enormous popularity around the world.
In one famous incident, she was so well-received during a 1961 trip to Paris, the newly elected US president joked at a dinner, "I do not think it altogether inappropriate to introduce myself. I am the man who accompanied Jacqueline Kennedy to Paris, and I have enjoyed it." (ANI)
