Ross spoke about 'hard times' with hubby Sanders weeks prior to his affair

New York, July 27 (ANI): In the weeks prior to Tuesday's revelation that her husband had an extramarital affair with "Twilight" actress Kristen Stewart, Liberty Ross had opened up to a Magazine about going through "hard times" with Rupert Sanders.

Ross had at the time felt that she had initially faced difficulties settling in America, but she seemed convinced at the time that the main difficulties of their marriage were behind them.

"I went from the glamour of working with Karl Lagerfeld and John Galliano to living on an isolated hilltop, with my husband gone most of the time," the New York Daily News quoted her as telling You magazine, as excerpted by the Daily Mail.

"But that's why everything feels so amazing now.

"We rode through the really hard times and we stuck it out," she said.

The 33-year-old had candidly spoken about the difficulties that she faced after she quit her modelling career in London for domesticity with Sanders in Los Angeles.

"I romanticized domesticity for a while, and loved having a shopping list of groceries stuck to the fridge for the first time," she said.

"But moving here and starting a life all over again was a lot harder than I had anticipated. I just didn't think it would be as isolating and daunting as it turned out to be."

Many people have not been able to figure out as to why Sanders would cheat with Stewart when he has a wife as beautiful as Ross at home.

Taking care of the couple's two young children - Skyla, 7, and Tennyson, 5 - also proved to be a challenge for Ross, especially as Sanders' career was taking off in Hollywood.

"I would never say out loud that I am raising my children alone, but a lot of the time it has felt like that," she added. (ANI)
