Chelsea custodian Cech says football will never get rid of foul language

London, July 17(ANI): Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has said football can never get rid of foul language, as it has become a part of the game.

John Terry's court case highlighted the torrent of bad language on the pitch, but Cech believes things are unlikely to change because it is entrenched in the sport.

Last week, Blues skipper Terry was cleared of racially abusing QPR's Anton Ferdinand.

Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt pledged to tackle the kind of swear words and insults that were exchanged between the two men in the thick of the action.

Hunt says swearing has 'gone too far,' insisting that footballers should set an example to thousands of young spectators, but Cech is convinced nothing would change.

"If every player had a microphone some people would be very surprised about what gets said on a football pitch. I think football always has been, and always will be, the same," The Sun quoted Cech, as saying.

"You have a lot of adrenaline, a lot of joy, a lot of frustration. You cannot really take this away from the sport. You live the game for 90 minutes, 100 per cent focused, and you want the game to go your way," he added.

"Sometimes the frustration or the happiness makes you swear and do things like that, but it is OK,' he said. (ANI)
